Tint or no Tint?

My 08 550i sport has an auto curtain in the back window and manual curtains on the rear side windows. Should I still get tint? I was thinking of getting 20 rear 40 front. Let me know what you guys think.

Tint. What is your car?

Titanium Silver.

I would get some black tints but same percent all the way around.

30-35% all around

I have Titanium Silver 545 and 15% tint on mine. At night it can be tricky but we have lots more sunlight hours here in Florida and the darker tint has helped keep my 2005 leather seats in perfect shape. I would recommend you go ceramic tint and not the metallic tint, as it can interfere with the antennas on the rear winshield. Here is a reference photo

x3. Ceramic, same % all around. With the shades up, it'll achieve the darker look on the back windows you're looking for. At least, it does with my car...

Also check the legal limit in your state. In the South you can do 20, further north usually 35. It varies, but defo worth doing as it cuts down on heat in summer and makes it much more pleasant inside.
I even did my sunroof with a special heat deflecting film. Made a big difference.

In Florida we have 18% laws for general cars. Limos are darker limits. The Law down here won't pull you over for having darker tint than you are supposed to. Most don't care what you do as long as you aren't giving them another reason to pull you over. Then they may tack on a violation for tinted windows being too dark. I agree with Oceans10 though, check your local/state Dept of Motor vehicles for limits.

I believe mine is 30 front and 35 or 40 rear. Silvergrey metallic.

Here in California I went heavier in the back then in the front - mainly because it makes the front look lighter than they really are since by state law front window tint is a ticketable offense.

I am in California as well so I went with 35 front and 20 back.

I think that's the same that they installed on my E39
