2008 535xi with 112K miles and worried about fuel injectors

Hi all-

So far I have been very happy with my ride, I bought a 2008 535xi with 35K miles about four years ago with 35K miles, and it included extended maintenance and extended warranty up until 100K miles . BMW has changed the HPFP twice, and has changed three fuel injectors for free prior to the 100K miles. Besides these expected problems it has run flawlessly.

As of today I have 112K miles, and I believe that a turbo has malfunctioned because when I accelerate quickly it sounds like an airplane taking off, it is a high pitched whirling sound.

Also the car runs rough when I start it especially in cold weather, I suspect it is carbon build up or fuel injectors, but both problems are probably the result of the HPFP.

Any way to include these problems under the HPFP warranty, they are all related?

My goal is to keep the car up until about 150K miles, which would be about two years because I drive more than 20K highway miles per year.

I think the HPFP warranty covers the fuel pump only. Carbon buildup is not related to the HPFP, it'll happen to the x35 cars regardless due to them being direct injected. Fuel injectors could possibly be affected by the HPFP, but they still won't be covered by the fuel pump warranty. Best of luck to you...hopefully it's just a faulty wastegate or something as opposed to a turbo going bad.
