2013 Tire Pressure

My 2013 x5 has Continental 255/50 R19 t run flat tires. The manual says to run 32 psi in the front tires and 38 psi in the rear if driving under 100 mph. Is this for optimum performance driving or can I run 34 psi front and rear for a smoother ride? Thanks.

34 on the rears are ok if yiu dont have folks in the back all the time.
But 34 up front is more than the recommended cold pressure
