1990 525i NO HEAT!!!!

i know tht the resistor or "sword" has been removed. is there any way to get around tht just so i can have some kind of air flow thru my vents.????? or does the sword have to be installed?

I'm pretty sure the sword has to be installed to have the blower run. Someone may know of a direct wiring trick to make the blower run

One option is to make sure that the recirculate button is not pressed, and raise the back of the sunroof. This creates a venturi effect and draws more air through the vents. It will give you just a bit more air flow. Just make sure that all of your controls are all the way to the hot side. I do this during the spring and fall with the temp set to cold to draw in slightly cooled air if I don't want to run the A/C.

is there any air comming out of the floor, windscreen demister, or even under dash some were ect......... if so easy as pie !
