Exclamation F30 trunk brake light issue
So my buddy works at BMW and told me the brake lights pop out on the F30, I laughed when he told me this....sure enough on day 4 of having this car my brake light popped out..lol

Anyone else have this issue?

I'm bringing mine in for repair tomorrow

The entire lens housing, the one housed in the trunk lid, sticks out about 1/4" and won't snap back into place.

This was a chronic issue on the one series for the first two model years. Some owners reported having to replace them two or three times.

Sounds like maybe the F30 is experiencing the same early production woes.

Just be grateful it's not your hpfp conking out on you.

I tried to snap it back, then thought screw this it's a new car and called service!

Got the car back yesterday, it's fixed.

They said they took the tail light apart, then reassembled it correctly... something about incorrect assembly causes the problem.

Hopefully they have an assembly line solution for this before I order, but yes, this is definitely a step-up from the HPFP problem we all had with the E90 335s...

As we know the F30 is assembled in both Munich and South Africa. That's the reason why I'm
curious. Wondering if it was just a QC problem in one factory or what.
