What do you have to show these discounts are real? Quick look you list the K&N filter at $50 which is net since MSRP is about $78 for the item. Philips 5000K Capsule D1S HID Bulbs: you list $170 MSRP is $199.

The other thing you might think about is your reaction to the sulev N51. Most who have it are not seeing much in the way of good mileage which is important to you even if the loss of performance is not. Goes back to the real world of unintended consequences vs. the ideal world of the carbon foot print eco-warriors. The N51 is also more expensive to fix due to the special parts that are part of the package.

As true as that is, I don't like the 335i for many different reasons. The extra $1,000 - $2,000 is worth it for me to get the 328i and mod accordingly.

Talking I've been looking for this!

Thank you for this list! I just purchased my first bmw two weeks ago and have started purchasing parts. I was looking for something like this. So far I have tinted the windows, replaced the roundels, swapped the grille, and am ordering a new set of wheels.

This is the cheapest link I have found for the performance exhaust; so thank you for saving me a couple hundred!!

Has anyone done any of the mods listed here on their 328? I'm just curious what of the above would be worth it. I'm not looking for an increase in power. Any benefit to looks, or cornering is always a plus though. Thanks!

I would never do all that to a 328i. I'd go for an M3.

My $0.02.

Talking

I definitely won't be doing all of the mods listed. Its way too many to be worth it. I'm going to replace the wheels, angel eyes, exhaust, and after that we'll see. The only other mod I am considering is a sound system. the last few vehicles i have put systems in cost too much as they constantly grow bigger and better.

I'm quite curious. What is it that you don't like about the 335i that you're willing to spend $10k on 328 mods instead of buying a 335i. Please enlighten us? I'm legitimately interested in your opinion.

Unhappy

I would love to have bought a 335. I'm curious as well. I couldn't find a 2011 335xi with less than 20k miles on it for less than 25k.

I'm sure you realize all this will have a big negative and irreversible impact on the resale or trade-in value down the road. If that doesn't bother you, go ahead and modify the thing to your heart's content. For some, it's part of the fun of ownership.

Talking Performance Exhaust

Has anyone put the performance exhaust on a non M car? I would love my 328 to sound better. Just curious if it makes as much difference on something without a beast under the hood. Thanks!
