"F10" = Damn cool Internal Code name.

This is one of the rare cars where somebody can ask you "what do you drive" and if you spell out the internal code name, it might just sound cooler than the actual name of the car.

I came from M-B, where "W212" just doesn't conjure up a remotely enticing effect to a layman.

"I have an F10".

maybe due to its similiarity to the F16

People might misunderstand your remark for the real Ferrari F10.

I don't ever get tired of hearing W198.... But I think BMW people are more "car geeky" and care- Benz people say "I drive that white one" ; )

I thought of an F16 when I first heard F10. Sounds badass to me! Call us geeky; but if we BMW owners didn't care about the cool factor, we would be driving Kia's and Honda's! Lol

And one day when BMW makes it to the "G" level, we can say we drive a "G6" haha!

Yeah I got the darkest available for the rears (I think 5%?) and then the next step up from that in the front (I think 15 or 20%?). I'm always really bad with the numbers on Tint. I just tell them "Give the the darkest in the rears and the second to darkest on the front two".

As for the brand it is the basic 3M tint, which is my favorite because it's usually the most "black" (some of the fancier/more expensive tints tend to have some various hues thrown in I've observed).

I am a previous owner of a W215 (V12 Bi Turbo) and it cost me about 32K in maint/repairs over course of 3 years

Thank you! The car answers literally all my dreams. Never been happier with a new car and that says a lot if you know my history of picking the right cars that I tend to go head over heels over.

This is the "original" F10. It's also very cool but I like mine better

E60 wasn't bad either. I often referred to our 2008 535 as just "E60" and most folks I talk too know what that is. Saying 535 isn't as smooth as saying E60.
