Hey Guys,
I recently purchased a 2003 e46 m3 and first would like to say it is awesome and I'm stoked I decided to go with it because I almost didn't. Second I would really appreciate some advice. I'd like to upgrade the stereo head unit from analogue to digital tv as well as link my iPhone to the stereo so that I can listen to my music and was wondering what would be the best solution? Any help on this would be immensely appreciated. Cheers Dave Last edited by Butch_Adda; 01-05-2013 at 05:23 AM. |

TV in an M3?
You just don't get it. ![]() As for linking your iPhone, two ways. With a 2003 you may be able to install the Aux input. This puts a phono jack in the glove compartment to feed any source into the stereo. Another option is the DICE unit. It hooks into the CD changer plugs and allows a connection to a iPhone/iPod, and controlling the device from the head unit with information scrolling on the head unit display.

Apologies but what don't I get?
I've been searching on the net for upgraded head units as well and there seems to be a few but I'm not sure which is the best to go with or if any are compatible. Could you maybe shed some light on this for me? |

No idea. I just put a DICE unit in my car for Sirius radio controlled by the stock head unit. It has the ability to add a iPhone/iPod input, but I have not hooked that up.
The comment about not getting it was mainly joking. M3s are about the DRIVING, not watching TV.

Yeah I figured you were having a laugh but wasn't sure haha but I do agree the driving is what I bought the car for and in an m3 its pretty awesome but being able to pass the time watching cricket while your stuck in traffic is pretty cool.
What do you think of the dice unit you have installed? |

The DICE unit seems fine.
I have had it in for a couple of months, but haven't driven the car much. But when I have, it has been great. My only complaint is the radio display is used for the Sirius info. So it continuously scrolls the Channel, Song Title, and Artist. Which is great. BUT, I am used to having my time on the radio.
