Question 1:
My iDrive is not syncing my playlists from my iPod, it only syncs artists, songs, etc. I'm a playlists person, anyone else have this issue? Maybe it's because I have a 2nd generation nano? IE: it's old Question 2: I don't believe BMW Assist was ever activated in my vehicle (it's a 2010 E92). BMW owned the car prior to me (but it wasn't a lease..it's complicated). Can I still call and have it activated free? It's free for first 4 years, right? Question 3: When youre low on gas, do things start turning off? I was low on gas y'day and my adaptive headlights started bonging on my dash? When I filled the car up, the error went away. Question 4: I can't get the garage door opener on my rearview mirror to work. I press buttons 1 and 3 for 20 seconds until it flashes. I then press and hold button 1 and press and hold my garage door opener near the mirror ... but nothing happens. Any ideas on this? Last edited by Firebirdof06; 01-05-2013 at 12:20 PM. |

Q2: You can call and have it activated, but don't know if it will be free. Did you purchase the vehicle from a BMW dealer? If so, I'm assuming it should be good to go for at least another 2 years, but you're going to have to call either the dealer or BMW Customer Care. Q3: Don't know, never let my gas get that low. Q4: There's a video on BMW's website that shows you how to activate the garage door opener with your vehicle. I'm guessing you have a garage door opener that has "roaming" security codes, so you can't program with just the handheld opener by the mirror in your car. It's a little more involved because of the roaming security codes, so you will ultimately have to exit your car, push a button on the actual garage door opener box, and sync differently than what you were trying. Search the BMW site. Good luck.

I have been told that playlists do not transfer through Bluetooth. You have to use the USB connection to get your playlists.
I have an iPhone 4S and my messages nor my calendar transfer to I drive through USB or Bluetooth. Have you figured that out? |

Oh, and my flipping back seat flew open today when I had to brake (groceries in the trunk came rolling through), lol. Scared the hell out of me when a loaf a bread wound up in the front seat. I'm going to assume it wasn't latched properly, if it happens again.... No idea how the physics of this worked out. Last edited by Firebirdof06; 01-06-2013 at 06:18 PM. |
