My sons 1996 318TI won't start
I have been driving my son's 318TI for a few weeks and 2 weeks in a row it has not started on Friday afternoon after work (maybe doesn't like weekends) All lights and accessories work but absoluted no kick. Got car trucked home first Friday but tried to start on Monday and no problems. Second Friday left at work and still hasn't started. Have since had it towed to BMW dealer but they dont seem to know what it is. I have a feeling it's got to do with the immobiliser.

so it cranks normal??
suprised the bmw deler can't figure it out, though...  iirc the ews cuts the power to the fuel pump, but with erratic operation like that, i would suspect something is loose or possibly otherwise experiencing a poor connection. i believe the ews module is behind the glovebox....cannot remember now...sorry. df
