Dash lights question
Is there a way to set the gauge lights to where they don't change to red when it gets dark out? I really like the brighter white on black look, and would rather they don't change to red on black at night.
TIA

They do this whenever the lights are not in the "OFF" position and ambient light is below a certain level -- I don't think there is any way to avoid the switchover to night mode. Think about this though, most cars dim the instrument panel whenever the lights are on, regardless of level of daylight. BMW's have a separate sensor to determine the need for darkened instrument lighting.

I'm sure there will be a code for it some day if there isn't already one. The reddish orange has long been a signature for BMWs. I personally like it.

You really should not want to change the orange red color of the instrument pannel to white light at night. The redish orange color does not bleach out the chemical in the retina that enhances your night vision. Where as the white light degrades your night vision.
