special defect codes

Hi People

New here so excuse the ignorance ;-) was at my local Beemer garage in Aberdeen earlier today to ask for a print out of what is required for the next service due shortly on my 2008 3301 convertible. Milage is 52k and serviced at Beemer garage/s since new. Asked the rep for a print out of what is required and the following came up.

Software integration:-

Integration plant- E98X-07-12-515
I-Level HO E89X-11-03-502
New integration available - Yes

Question does this just mean that an update is available for the software? will ask the garage when I go back but have no real trust in any garage and don't have the savvy to know better!

Technical Campaigns:-
State - Open / special defect code - 10012230300 / E6x E8x E9x N43 N53 (Replace Ignition coil Bosch) Does this mean that there is a problem with the coil? and what about the E6x E8x E9x N43 N53 mean?

Any assistance appreciated as I said not got enough savvy to suss out the codes and issues on the web or Beemer knowledge wise.
