Is your car 2012 or 2013? This is for 2010 and 2011 Models, where this isn't the default behaviour.

I just checked these two codes and it set default as JEG23 mentioned to code for MY13 AH5. I tested it just releases when I hit the gas pedal, but it won't keep the AutoHold on after car stop and restart.

This allows me to enjoy even more the Auto-H feature. One thing I did not like is that it engages the parking brake automatically upon shutdown. Now I do not have to worry about remembering to release the eBrake. I just drive away.

@lek,

There is no way (yet) to set Auto hold on by default. This code does not do that.

One aspect of Auto Hold is that it sets by default the parking brake on when you shut down the car. That means that you have to remember to disengage the brake when you restart the car. With the "drive away" feature, that is not an issue any longer.

Tried to code this into a 2011 535 GT today and there was no

DSC->3000 Allgemein, 20->Funktion_AutomaticDriveawayRelease_aktiv->aktiv (nicht_aktiv is the default) in the DSC module,

I also could not get a green check to go into the FDL of the EMF... There was nothing in green for that module, so I could not even get into it and edit

Hey, I just want to say thank you for this procedure.
I just coded my F11 2/2011 and now Auto Hold makes sense to be used.

hey guys from germany,

yesterday i tried to code this funktion on my f07 from dec 2011 :

dsc was no problem.

in the eml there is no caf-file and of course just with the coded dsc the automiatic release does not work.

anyone a good idea how the get it work??

my 2010 F10 does not have the DSC feature that im supposed to change either. the EMF was no problem to edit though... strange? my car has never had a software update so maybe that is the reason. maybe a certain version is needed

For those of you like myself that cannot get this to work, it only works on cars with >= Sep. 2011 Build Date.

I have successfully coded this function in my car and it is a F10 Feb 2011 build.

The FDL Code DCS => Funktion_AutomaticDriveawayRelease_aktiv has the following Paramater:

XPath=boolean(//cat[@val="255"][crit[@val>=1109]]

criteriaVal="1109">SEPTEMBER_2011

my 0910 build works. i think that's the default value from 0911 build.
