did anybody try to reupholster their e34 seats ?
mine really need to be reupholstered . they r non-leather ... currently covered up by vinyl covers , which also started to look ugly ...
door panels need work too ...
one thing i noticed about BMW seats and door panels ... they dont age too well .... i have friends who have Mercedes w124 .. those things have great quality seats and panels even after 20-25 years ... well, at least in those cars that my friends have

I don't know about cloth seats , but the leather ones most of the time outlast the car

My entire interior aged fine. Driver seat has started to tear but that's fine for it's age. You can also just pick up replacements from a parts car for probably what it would cost to have it upholstered.
