BMW Apps while driving and lift gate ?

I noticed today that BMW Apps continued to operate once I started driving. Wth? Is that right?

Also, can you not shut the rear gate from inside the car like opening?

Not certain about Apps as I have not activated it but the rear lift open/close is the same on ALL US-based BMW's & that is "open ONLY" due (supposedly) to safety concerns. However, it has been fairly well documented that the interior button CAN be programmed to also close as well. You just won't be able to have anyone from an authorized BMW dealership in the US do it for you. You will need to have an Independent service guy do it or you could do it yourself.

Liftgate no go. Only way around that is coding. Ask Bluedragon, hes the go to person here.

I'm surprised the facebook/twitter stuff works like moving, but I guess they figure it falls under the same disclaimer of the Nav being fully functional while moving.

I've personally glad, but that seems like it could be even more of a safety hazard for some idiots than me being able to shut my liftgate from inside

They do stay on - that's the concern.
