Remember when everyone first saw the red stripe in the sport line and everyone hated it, including me??? Well, I actually ended up ordering my car with that anyway. LOL! My wife and kids love it and so do I.

One thing that really surprised me is that my car is being built in South Africa. I think I might have read something on the 'fest about South Africa before, but I guess it never sank in. When the CA told me this, it sort of threw me for a loop, but obviously it wasn't a deal breaker.

Way to celebrate an holiday! I prefer a red leather, but silver exterior is very, very nice.

Congrats. I really like the silver with black interior. It's much easier to maintain and usually looks good even when on the dirty side.

I'm from South Africa and believe me it's a BMW and built the way it should be just like if it was made in Germany. BMW Germany has been building more and more 3 series cars here due to the quality of workmanship

Congratulations on the order! Do you have an estimated time of delivery from the South Africa build? The Aluminum trim with the red highlight is really sharp with the red threading on the steering wheel and seats. Now you will have the top of the line in a 3 model field.

I think they say the quality has been better out of SA, but the problem for american buyers is the extra month in transit as the cars are shipped to bremerhaven and then wait for another boat to come to the USA. That is the number one complaint from people about getting a South African made Bimmer.

Congrats! I hope you're patient. My 335 was built in SA and it took about 5 months from time of order to delivery.
