o2 sensor help!

Hey guys,

So I sold my 540i/6 and picked up a 98' M3

I have two BRAND NEW Bosch (p/n 13477) pre cat 02 sensors. that were for my 540

I know that the M3's wire harness is on top of the fuel rail. Obviously the wires wont reach, so I am going to spice them.

My question is the actual sensor the same? if I splice the wire will i be okay? The only difference i can see is that on one the wire is a foot vs 3 feet.

any help is appreciated! if i can make these work i would rather do that then drop another 120 on sensors.

and im getting P0135 which is bank 1 sensor 1. but better off replacing both
