So I have a 2008 335xi coupe. And I was at my friends house and was parked behind him because there wasn't anywhere else to park. Well when we were all inside he decided to leave and get food, he didn't notice my car and backed into it. I don't want to go through insurance and **** him over or go to the dealer because that would be expensive, but I would like to know where can I get an awesome high quality hood, now that I have a chance for it to get paid for.

you might save some money on an aftermarket hood, but I bet you will be disappointed in the fit and quality. Also you are going to have to go to a decent body shop to have it painted, underside and top side, you might be able to paint it yourself, but you will never get it to match the adjoining panels, the body shop will have to blend the front bumper and the front wings or fenders
best you go to a good quality body shop and turn in on his insurance, because in the end you trying to do your friend a favor, will come back to bite you, and if he gets PO that you want him to take care of it, then I would review that he is actually a friend. Hondo |

Can the dent doctor work his magic ?
If not, your best bet is to go to a good body shop and get a new one. It will have to be painted the color of your car. I checked on a new hood a few years ago....it didn't matter if I bought from a dealer or a body shop...same price.

I'm sorry to hear about the situation. I would recommend that you look into an aftermarket solution. We have the E92 Vented Carbon fiber hood or the E92 M3 style carbon fiber hoods available for the pre lci e92 models which will both be good options for you. Out of the two, most of our customers prefer the E92 Vented style as it gives the car a more aggressive and sporty look. Below are a few installed pictures of both options for you to check out.
