On the new 750 body style? Looking to upgrade to the new version

Saw an 09 for a decent price 39k with 40k miles on it.

To also ask a question, do the 09's have problems?

I think you're referring to the f01/02 chassis. The 750 was reintroduced as a 4.8l v8 on the e65/66 chassis as a LCI (life cycle impulse, aka facelift) version of the older e65/66 745.
09 is the first US model year of the current body style 7 series (f01/02) and from the research i have done, it has a few issues as do most first model years. If you're considering it, it would be best to find a CPO

I have heard similar issues with jerking trannies, failed injectors < 60k, logic7 system amp failures, xdrive system failures.. If under warranty no biggie but lots of downtime. Skim through the f01/2 section and read through the problem threads also for more in detail info. They are beautiful cars so hopefully the problems get ironed out, I cannot make a direct correlation but techs seem to believe the e65/6 was more reliable. I have no experience with the new ones so i couldn't say for myself.

Well its a BMW at the end of the day whether a 745,750 or F01 750 they have really proven themselves to be unreliable IMHO. Unfortunately I came across 2 GREAT members who just upgraded within the last year an one more recently. Unfortunately both had issues with their car. One was not as bad as the other but beware do not buy unless you have a warranty. Take a look at there topics below. Also start going to that side of the forum an ask questions as they can guide you in the right direction. This side I doubt you will find the answer you're looking for. Too many kids over here complaining about a car worth less than 6k Best of luck brotha.
