So my car went dead today...

I was driving my '04 730d as usual and everything was well with the car. I parked it and did what I had to do. I returned 4 hours later, entered the car, when I pressed the start button, all kinds of lights went on, on the dashboard, then went off, and the car didn't start, nor did the engine try to start the ignition.

After that, I tried pressing start again to start the engine, and it just became more dead, the lights were not even appearing anymore on the dashboard.

When I pressed start again, there would just be this weird clicking sound.

Also, the keyfob got stuck, and I cannot remove it.

Any ideas as to what's happened? Maybe the battery died?

I would say its the battery or the integrated power supply module. Try recharging the battery first and go from there.
