How to replace precat O2 sensors

So my 545i has about 110k on it, figured it was time to replace the O2 sensors.

Driver's side:

1. Remove plastic side cover to gain access to sensor.

2. Remove pinch bolt from steerage tube linkage.

3. Slide steering tube up and away.

4. Reach in and remove sensor after disconnecting from harness

5. Install new sensor, tighten and connect to harness.

6. Reinstall side cover.

7. Apply unguent to scratches and scrapes due to limited access space.

Passenger's side:

1. Remove side cover.

2. Gaze at steel hydraulic lines blocking access to O2 sensor.

3. Curse.

4. Have a beer or two.

2. Go to plastic surgeon of your choice, have big German hands removed and replaced with small Asian hands, or maybe some dainty female hands.

3. Loosen O2 sensor.

4. Squeeze small hands between hydraulic lines and unscrew sensor.

5. Install new sensor.

6. Tighten.

7. Connect to harness.

8. Have a beer, scratch ass with awesome new hands.
