2011 335i I drive

My I drive will not bring my messages or my calendar over from my iPhone 4S. Suggestions?

I think you need to make sure on your iPhone that messages are activated in notifications --- then in the iDrive you need to accept text messages (while in messages click on Options).

That's how I got mine to work. You can read them but you cannot reply to a message...at least I can't. I use iPhone 4

Are you asking about getting the office over BT?

For texts to work the car requires a Combox (enhanced Bluetooth) to be installed.

Use www.bmwvin.com to determine if your particular car is so equipped.

Thanks. This is listed. Is this what you are referring to? Do I have to do anything more to my iPhone 4S than just turn on Bluetooth.

You don't say if you're under warranty. Likely you are - is your dealer open today?

It is under warranty and the dealer is open but I have been back twice and nobody has a clue. I have been through 4 different salespeople and the GM.

First on your iPhone "settings Bluetooth BMW 1224" enable the notifications

Second in the idrive go to the telephone -> your-phone and once highlighted press options (the button) , if you scroll down you shoul see Bluetooth options, click it end besides audio and telephone thre shoul be anothe check box for messages , .. Etc.

I don't remember exactly if you start with menu-> telephone or menu->connect drive I'll check when I get home but somehow I got to these telephone options

So to configure BT go to telephone, highlite your phone, press options (button) then scroll down and select "configure Bluetooth" and check "office"

I don't know I'm old school I usually call people and don;t get many SMSes ... and since I got the car (Dec 2012) I never got one SMS while driving. I believe several people in the F30 form mentioned that they can do that and also you can code the car to see the entire email when received not just preview.

Btw I just managed to enable the "office" yesterday because I didn't see the extra Bluetooth config option.

Replying is not supported.

I see...bmw dragon drive is a solution if you have 2013 model. It requires new idrive software

This may be a bit too obvious but, I had the same problem until I updated my apple device to the latest OS... IOS 6.0.1 I believe. Reply is not supported, as previously stated.
