+1. And don't focus on the monthly payment when negotiating.

Finding a dealer who will give you the lowest MF (*****rate, MSDs optional) with the lowest selling price relative to MSRP will yield the lowest payment in any given month (if BMWFS' programs were better in the past, there's nothing you can do about it now).

Why is "BUY" rate censored?

Purchase price: does anyone know if there's still a 2k incentive on 535s? What looks like invoice plus 750 could actually be invoice plus 2750.

Capped fees: laf should be 725, what's the rest?

Reg/title seems a little high, perhaps you can verify what the actual DMV charges are

Your MB lease payments: if I understand correctly, you plan to order your BMW, drive and pay for two months on your MB, and then take delivery of your BMW while two payments remain on the MB? In the above lease, you are paying those last two payments. So what is the benefit of turning your MB lease in early?

And that's why you (the OP) can't compare monthly payments with someone from a different monthly program. That's 2,000 right off the bat that, all else being equal, is coming out of your monthly payments

I was actually letting him know that his MSRP is lower than mine but I got $2,000 credit so that right there is almost a wash, my mileage was higher his drive off is $1,300 higher than mine and my payments are only $665. On the other end his lease is 3 months shorter and I am not sure about the 2 remaining payments on his MB if BMW eats it then thats another $1,200 savings. IMHO I think his deal is a little high and he can do better unless my math is way off.

If you are paying the last two payments on the Benz either way, why give it to the BMW dealership? Why not keep it and turn it in yourself?

That doesn't sound like a trade-in. That sounds like the Benz since on the lot for 2 months then they turn it in for you with you (possibly) liable for any damage that occurs while it is sitting there.

+1

Why not order a car to your exact specs which will take 6-8 weeks and your timelines line up nicely.

Why the the 1300 cap reduction?

Exactly.... That's why I'am ordering my 535xi the end of next month, so by the time it gets here my Altima's lease will be up. And who knows, by that time better deals will be out and I could take advantage of them.

No..but his wasn't off by much. I got it from Rallye BMW. But I'm not pulling the trigger yet. So I might be going back to him if the numbers next month don't add up for me with Rallye.

Something didn't smell right so I went to a different dealership. They are doing the same exact car for $3,000 upfront and $700 per month, a savings of $2,000! Thanks to everyone who responded, you literally saved me 2 g's. Car will be here in 8 weeks.....

Open Road (the one in Edison, they have 4 NJ locations). I would definitely recommend.

Sweet, congrats.

Yeah, they were not doing you any favors on the trade in. Make sure you look into MSD since you are in New Jersey. I think NY is the only state that does not let you do it.
