new guy

Hi everyone ever since the 750IL came out when i was in high school i've wanted one, an it looks like a dream may be realised... unfortunatly one of the cars i'm looking at is a facelift model so my questions are as i dont like the face lift model, 1 is there much call for people wanting to fit the face lift to there car if i remove it... and 2, are the pre face lift parts easy and cheap to get?? or 3 would anyone on here wish to do a swap??

sorry for the dumb questions although i am a mechanic/painter and have a car restoration & modification company i tend to live in the JDM world so the BMW world is a little alien to me.

I am confused about what you are asking. Are you saying you prefer the E32 750 to the E38 750, or that you don't like the facelift E38? I can understand a preference for E32 or E38, but there is little difference between the two versions of the E38, although I would guess that most people prefer the more modern look of the facelift E38...

Posting parts from Wales to Australia is a bit prohibitive. BTW 'JDM world'?

hey thanks for the reply was beginning to think there was no one on here.. yeah i meant the facelift e38 i dont like the slimmer indicators an round bottoms to the lights, so if i end up with a facelift model i want to remove all the parts an fit the earlier front, so was wandering if people in the bmw community did things like change fronts etc like we do on the Jap cars...

yeah australia is a little far but i wasn't expecting any international people on here, JDM stands for Japanese Domestic Market as apposed to UKDM as some Japanese cars were imported from japan or built in the UK, japanese cars are my main car interest..

anyway this is all heresay as i still need to sell one of my other non JDM cars to fund the BMW so i may still get the earlier face lift model an i'll b a happy bunny

Thanks for the new acronym - I shall throw that one in now and again! Drove a V12 for an hour or so. made my V8 seem like a clunker.
