325e cat removal

I want to take the cat off my car, its a 1987 325e, what till removing the cat do for my engine, thanks

nothing. the power your car makes, makes removing your cat pointless. stop it.

all removing your cat will do is save a little weight to be honest.

Thanks, im not looking for any performance, i was just wondering if it would harm the engine at all.

possibly make it a bit louder as well

that graph is for a s60 from a stage 1 to a stage 2 turbo. dont know where you were trying to go with that...but yeah.....

anyway, removing the cat will let the engine breathe better. what this means in performance wise, youll get better high end (not much) youll lose some low end, but the big thing is mpgs. you may see 1-2mpg more unless youre like me, then you get 5-6mpgs less cause the exhaust is louder.

oh and pray you dont ever get emission laws, cause your car will fail miserably

Downhiller, it was just a graph taken from a random vehicle where we had cleaned out the cat + fitted a K&N replacement filter to show the HUGE increase in power.
Granted, these graphs are from turbo cars, as we normally do Headers with FF when we are removing the cats on NA vehicles. Doing a Territory as we speak.
I agree with what you are saying.
If the fuel is a bit dodgy, it will clog the cat taking away quite a bit of power.
