Oil Level after the Oil Service
Just got the oil change on my X5 and my oil level is between Min and Max. On my previous oil changes, it was at MAX.
Should I be concerned? |

Yeah, they didnt do the job properly.
Have them top it off. And have a bit of a conversation about how the little things matter- the oils isnt a big deal, what what other mistakes have they made and you didnt see? And why should you have to take hours out of your life to fix their screw up?

Too much oil is bad too. See manual.
I prefer a little bit lower than MAX. |

Took my X5 back to the dealer and they confirmed they had put 1 qt less oil and have now fixed the issue. Oil level is at MAX

Hmmm On my 5 series after an oil change my idrive also showed that the oil level was not maxed. I brought this to the SA attention and he told me that it would go to max level shortly after the car warms up.
After a few miles of driving it had moved to max level.
