FS: F10 Aluminum Hexagon Dash Trim Set

For Sale: a complete set of Aluminum Hexagon Dash Trim (standard with the M Sport Package) that I just removed from my 535xi M Sport.

I purchased the replacement Dark Wood trim for $1,864. I'm asking $1,200 OBO for the aluminum.

I was very meticulous removing the aluminum trim, and there is absolutely not a single scratch or blemish on any of it. I even took some videos of the process and posted them on Youtube:









Here are some pictures of the removed trim. I saved the original packaging materials and boxes that the new trim came in, and repackaged the aluminum trim just the way it came from the factory.

Its a shame you didnt want anthracite trim, I would have traded you. Not that I dont like mine, But I think the hexagon would fit better in an all black interior, I would have ordered it like that but I second guessed myself. If you are interested in trading for anthracite so you can try to sell mine (maybe easier to?) PM me.

Yeah, that's a bummer! A straight swap would have been a whole lot easier, but the wife wanted Dark Wood.

IMO, I think you made the right choice. Aluminum in any form (even though the hexagon is nicer than the smooth standard aluminum), doesn't do justice to the car, IMO. Bright, garish, utilitarian are adjectives that come to mind. Plus it's very easy to scratch, and after getting a few, it looks cheaper still.

So was the removal of the door trim as easy? Are the LED's part of the panel or are they easily detached?

The door trim was really easy. Removal and replacement took approximately 1.5 minutes - and that was with me taking my time and being careful.

The LEDs are not part of the trim - they run along the bottom of the trim and sit in plastic clips on the door panel.

Big Hungry if you are getting the Hexagon trim. I think you are going to be a little happier with that. I have all black interior and I think the aluminum fits better together. If you want pics let me know

Thanks..I do like the way it breaks up but still goes with the black leather. Hard to say exactly what I'll do though...

Those are very overexposed. Anthracite is not light brown. These are more accurate, IMO.

Thanks for your pics, Mine were more about showing no flaws than accurate color.
Personally I think the anthracite is a bit too light anyway, I would have preferred piano black actually.

No prob -- just trying to help. I am an advanced amatuer I guess you could say, and work for accurate lighting as well as color. It's easy to fool any camera, no matter how expensive, especially when taking an all around dark scene picture. You have to manually adjust some exposure compensation in many cases -- not to worry. You'll notice a lot of forum members posting grayish pictures of their black interiors -- that's why. Cameras "think" everything is mid-tone, when something is major light or dark, it throws it off. Snow scenes appear gray, black things appear gray, etc.

can the car be driven without the trim if i was going to have it wrapped. it will take a few days
can the start button and vents be attached without the trim?

Are you wrapping the trim? What finish?
