Dice and Siruis install question.
I did an install in my wife's 07 Z4 Roadster. Unfortunatly it is somewhat temporary at the moment. Waiting on the Ipod cable to be sent separately.
So when others have done this install where is the typical (best) place to put the Dice and Sirius modules? The cable is long enough to put them anywhere in the car. But the easiest and most logical place I found was in the battery compartment. Behind the battery is a pocket where I believe would be a radio amp if so equipped, which hers is not. So leaves a nice open pocket. Is this a good place? Or possibly too tough of an environment for such devices? Also how to run the GPS cable from the Sirius unit to the panel between the top and decklid. Is there a preferred place to drill for the cable to pass through? Sorry one more. Is there any good instruction on how to control the Sirius device through the radio? We can get the basics, but unable to figure out how to memory the channels with the radio buttons. Sorry for so many questions, but I have been unable to find much info on these installs. Or programing the radio after install. Thanks, Ron |

The DICE unit instructions told me how to set radio memory.
http://audiovox.diceelectronics.com/..._rev012312.pdf Page 20 Press RND and then the Disc button that you want to use to store the current channel. I don't see why it would not work in that pocket, especially if that was used by BMW for electronics. And BTW, it is not a GPS cable, it is an antenna cable. ![]() Enjoy, I have the setup in my E46 M3 and it works well. Only downside, is the Sirius display takes over the radio display, so I no longer have the time available there..
