Those are your wastegate actuators if you have a 335. The actuators (open and closing rods) are loose in the gates and will rattle (search YouTube). Just had mine replaced at dealer last week. They have newer upgraded parts. Now I don't hear it anymore.

loso,
I had to replace my vacuum lines to eliminate that waste gate rattle. I never had to replace the actuators. You might want to check with a mechanic, first.

Loso,
I just got an 09' 335i, and occasionally I was hearing the left exhaust on startup. The actuator which controls the butterfly valve was causing this and I simply disconnected the actuator from the trunk area so my valve is always open. Yet to hear the noise again. You can search for "golf tee mod" and find a lot of results about this. |
