iDrive Address Book Fail

I dont use the address book connected to my phone / bluetooth.

I enter addresses into iDrive and save them as a "New Contact".

Twice now, randomly, with no explanation, I have turned on my car only to see that all the saved addresses are wiped out.

Gone.

I have a 2010 650i and Im super bummed about iDrive having such a lame bug.

Would it make sense to upgrade idrive or do i have the most recent? I know navigation has been updated since mine but what about idrive?

Did you use a different key?

Idrive is buggy, would think a '10 with cic is better than that. My '06 randomly loses all satellite preset list. Will only come back after being shutoff a while. Dealer updated system and checked it all out 3 years ago. Still the same, chalked it up to idrive quirk.

Same key. Although not always the only key in proximity of the car. have the other key in my backpack and sometimes my backpack is in the car too. Maybe it connects to that key and sees nothing, wipes it clean. However even when returning with original key, its all gone.

I figured this out. Don't go into Address Book.

Go into Contacts and do it. Somehow this stores it in an additional / duplicate / different location. When I get in the car and it fails out saying I have no addresses in my "Address Book" .... I can go to "Contacts" and boom - they all pop up.
