Cel confusion
Will my cel go off if I need to add water to my radiator? Because it came on and I did a stomp test and nothin came up except check rear lights!

You need to take the car to Autozone or any parts store and have the OBD-I system codes read. If your radiator coolant is low, its not rocket science...top it off. Just so you know, the cooling system on these cars is a known weak point.

Would the car even 'remember' a low coolant situation once it is topped up? Topping Up Cooling Systems': night school 101.

Yeah I kinda felt stupid when I aske that and I know now that I don't have any cooling problems cause I ran my car at about 90 for like 250 miles the other day and not a hiccup! Plus even when I run the piss out of it (floor it from stop light to stop light). It gets more responsive and the needle of my temp gauge never goes pat the middle and I can always touch my valve covers when I turn it off and radiator hose an wont get burnt! I do have an oil leak at the moment though! And I think my speed sensor might be goin out also because my miles won't register sometimes and the speedo will go out.

The speed sensor for the speedometer is in the dif housing - looks a bit like a CPS. I think other speed related devices and systems get information from this unit too. Start checking there but check out wires etc carefully first - no point in buying a unit for a damaged wire.

CEL will not go off for low coolant. Your rear lights, check coolant level, and CEL are not related.

CEL (check engine light) and/or SES (service engine soon) warning lights (OBD I & OBD II) are for your car's electronic emissions system. As others mentioned, exterior lights, coolant system, etc are not associated with emissions so there's no connection.
