X3 lease offers

I have a question about leasing an X3 2.5-automatic

My dealer sent me an email saying he is offering the car for $269 a month with $2500 down. The lease is 39 months and has 10,000 miles a year.

Is this a good deal?

thanks

Do you only drive 10k miles a year? If you go over, it'll cost you...kinda like a cell phone bill.

Looks like a good deal. Last weekend I noticed my local dealer had ~75 new 2004 X3's on the lot. I wonder what kind of deals they will have since I doubt they will move before the 2005's arrive...

Can a dealer or dealers delay getting new MY cars so that they can sell the 04s?

That's a good question but I have to guess the answer would be "NO". I see other dealers (Ford for example) with 04' and 05's on the lot at the same time. If you pay them a visit they will show you the 04's first and all the great deals they are having on them. They do not advertise or mention the 05's even though they are on the lot. BMW must work the same way.

Interestingly, it's a little different here. Usually, with the two BMW centers I've worked at, they usually pay a higher minimum commission to us for helping clients get a great deal on any leftover inventory. It might be different elsewhere though....

I leased my 2.5 with the premium package and moonroof (37,995.00) for 455.00 a month for 39 months and 15k miles a year. I paid 2500.00 down.

Yeah, I'm not sure of the msrp of the car, but that sounds like a good deal. The mileage, however, is low and lease pre-payments are no fun.

I would ask your salesperson to run the numbers with 12K/15K mileage and "zero" down. I would also shop around to a couple of other dealers via phone/Internet for quotes.

That should put the deal in better perspective for you.
