Does the carfax for this 335i seem ok?

I'm looking at a CPO 2010 335i. I'm wondering if the carfax is saying that this car has bounced around a lot because of some problem.

Dealers web site page for the car (click on carfax logo)

Thanks for any input,

What bouncing around? Looks like one owner who moved once before he sold it. Sure not driving it much in 3 years, though.

Why was it sold at auction, though? Dealer loaner?

Dealer vehicles like loaners/demos are typically not titled. This is very unlikely to be a loaner.

Also surprised "Why was it sold at auction?" is a concern. Dealers buy and sell at auctions all the time, it is simply the most liquid market to add or reduce inventory as needed.

Carfax is saying one owner, but it does seem odd that there were multiple registrations within the same state; I thought those usually occurred when the car was sold. Might have been refinanced.

BMW is usually pretty particular about what can be a CPO and it is still under the original full-service warranty, so there isn't a whole lot of risk. I'd certainly want some movement on that price, though.

Way more title issued transactions than normal.

I have a friend who was a small used car dealer for years and he bought and sold at auction a lot. He had no more or less problems with those vehicles than others he acquired through different means. I bought two from him that he got at auction and had great luck with both.

The Carfax does not raise any issues in particular except that with that little driving and sitting around it will probably need a new battery at BMW's expense before the full maintenance runs out.

Also know that the dealer can read the key fob for you and give better detail on any service that has been performed.

Car looks very good. I doubt you'll find any problems with it.

Almost certainly sold at the BMW auction that is only open to BMW dealers where off lease units are sold. That's how the majority of BMW CPO vehicles are acquired by dealers.
