Ski Bag No Longer Available?

I'm configuring a new 328 sedan for my wife's next car. I noticed that the ski bag is no longer part of the cold weather package. Is this feature gone for good? Yeah, I know I can fold the rear sear down but having the bag keeps snow and water off the leather. This is something we use quite a bit and would very much miss it.

It's not an option. I'm not aware of aftermarket solutions...seems like one most certainly exists.

Just get a basic nylon ski bag with PVC water liner, will fit perfectly and not a lot of money either.

I have the ski bag on my 5 and don't like it. My wife only has the fold down seats in her 3. I still use my old nylon ski bag even in my car. It is much easier to clean and I just buy a cheap new one if it gets too shabby after a while.
Also when going into a hotel and dropping the skis I can carry 2 sets in my bag. Also with trunk space I actually prefer to take 1 seat down and put the skis to one side and have more space for a suitcase.

In 2011 ski bag was an option only on the coupe and not the sedan. Once my son's hockey sticks were too big to fit in the trunk, this was a must.

Lets you keep the gear (and the smell of hockey gear) in the trunk.

Has anyone retrofitted an E83 with the ski bag pass-through? I have it in my 325xi and I love it. I've seen people hacking their e46 seats to accommodate and it looks doable.
Stealership quoted me $750 for the pass-through hardware!
