Head up display - doesn't show speed limit?

Finally splurged and bought a 2012 650xi. I noticed the head up display doesn't show the speed limit next to the current speed, like the 2013 that I test drove. I thought that was a neat feature! Is this something that was added in for 2013? Can this be changed any way?

Speed limit information is a component of the driver assistance package therefore you would need HUD and DAP

Speed limit info is not available in the 2012 model year. I had hoped it was when I bought mine a year ago. Last I had heard it was to be introduced in the US in the 2013 model year. It is available in Europe.

I think it can be coded to show. Not positive on that though, it might just show it through the dash and not HUD.

+1. My 2012 doesn't have it either. It's one of those features I'm curious about but won't lose any sleep over (like lane keep assistant, etc.).

check under the dash on drivers side there is a button that u can switch speed info on/off ****
