Protective floor mats for when rear seats are folded down?

Not sure if the subject describes it properly, but i was wondering if there are any smart solutions for protecting the interior when the rear seats are down in the sedan version? Can you get some mats or carpets that covers the whole bottom in this situation? The closest thing i could find was this http://www.bmw.com/com/en/owners/acc...er/finder.html. But not sure if that works with the seats down?

Buy a small rectangular mat, tarp, or carpet door mat made for the house.

I suggested to a company to make such a mat and they acted like I was crazy.

Well it is a bit crazy because the section of carpet you'd be protecting is the seat-back lining in the trunk which no one sees or cares much about, wouldn't be a high demand item.

And if what we're taking about here is transporting liquids (ie melting ski stuff covered in ice) that doesn't make sense as the seats don't lie flat, they actually tilt up and any liquid would then run back towards the trunk.

Well, i know it is only the back of the seats that can\will get dirty, but still i like to take care of all areas of the interior. Basically i am often transporting my race bike around. I have just now bought a small cover that i can roll out when the bike is going with me.

But thanx for the idea Dave 20T! I actually found some companies here in DK that make custom fit mats for cas. Maybe i will look into that at some point.
