93k miles is a bit high
I would pay a bit extra for cars with max 60k miles

I think it is a good find with a reasonable price - looks well maintained based on how clean it is in and out (that tan interior is difficult to keep looking so new). The color is similar to my Montego Blue 07 328. Best of all is that you found a 6-speed stick!

Even with 93K miles it still okay for that price ? How long do BMW's usually last when they are well cared for and not driven hard ?
Just because its super clean don't mean it wasn't driven hard to the max. So what do I need to watch for if it was or would I be able to tell ? |

I don't think you can tell if it was driven hard, but this is a reliable car -- and if the previous owner had a need for speed chances are they would've opted for a 335i instead. I hope you realize that maintaining a BMW isn't super cheap, so don't max out your budget when buying it. Otherwise the recommendation is always to get a pre purchase inspection so you at least go in eyes wide open.

Some BMW dealerships offer them, not all. Otherwise most independent BMW mechanics would get it up on a lift and look it over for you and give you a read out on the condition of the car.

BMW's aren't cheap cars. You can use independent BMW mechanics, but the parts are going to be OEM most of the time and it will cost you. Don't buy it if you can't afford it so if this car (which has significant mileage and is the smallest engine) is max of your budget you may want to go in a different direction. Finally, the BMW 320i is coming out and I'm predicting the lease price is going to be very competitive. You could consider a 3 yr lease, get a brand new car, with no concern over repair / service cost. Something to consider.
