I know of no cars that you have to remove the head or heads on to change the sparkplugs.

the prices u guys post for changing oil, spark plugs and fees the dealers charge are insanely high that they encouraged me to DIY everything i can! (although i live on the other side of the world and fees are a fraction of what u guys pay )
where i am getting 22MPG on the highway is called "a miracle" for the sh!t-for-gas we get
but from the figures that u guys get, ur readings are very low. in addition to what the members adviced earlier, go through the WIKI and read what's supposed to be done for a car with ur mileage and get ur car up-to-date, might be lots of stuff from plugs, to filters...
