Anyone got M performance steering wheel?

Hi,

Anyone here has an M performance steering wheel?

I have a regular sport steering wheel.

I'm debating to upgrade to Msport or M performance steering wheel.

Which one is fatter? Please give us some reviews if you have one.

Would stay away from Alcantara wheels. Unless you want toreplace often. They do not wear well.

That's my concern too. BMW sells Alcantara and upholstery cleaner along with this M performance line of products. I don't know if the foam cleaner will help

I hope that red mid point is optional. I would find it very disturbing.

I think it is required. M3 version has either yellow or blue.

From what I have seen the base wheel is one thickness, and the sport package wheel and the M sport wheel are the same thickness.

I am not sure now but in 2011 when I got my car there were non sport, sport and M sport options. The only difference I could tell between the sport and m sport wheels was colored stitching and an M logo. I did not really compare them in detail so there may be more differences.

In either case I suspect it will cost a couple grand to buy another wheel and have it installed because of the airbag.

The sport and msport steering wheel do not have the same thickness.

Base - thin, no thumb rest
Sport - thicker with thumb rest (this is I have)
Msport - thickest with thumb rest

M performance - ???? Alcantara
