Need HELP ASAP!!!

Good afternoon forum.

I have the same problem as this thread http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=416530 except that my car didnt go thru the Easy Start thing. It was towed to my house. But now I want to put my car in N. I already pulled the ribbon as it said in the thread but and it made a noise like when you change shifts. Like from P to D etc. But the car didnt and wont move still. I am assuming the Parking brake is on. But how do you turn it off. BTW the battery dies everytime so I have to charge it with my other car. Any suggestions??

Theres a rod in your tool kit that you stick into the parking break mechanism located under the carpet in your truck. There is a hole where your spare wheel is located. Stick it in and use one of your wreches to turn it in which ever direction unlocks it. Counter clockwise I believe

Hey guys, I'm trying to understand the exact issue here.
I read the other thread as well but still dont understand what the MAIN issue is?
Is it a "wont start" because of battery or something else?
I dont have this issue just want to follow the thread better for future reference. Thanks
