Going to pick up my new BMW tomorrow, Any recommendation on what to expect or check?

Finally the day has come
After 10 weeks I am getting my car tomorrow

Any recommendation on what to expect or what to check in the car?

If you find something wrong, do not take posession. Don't be tempted to take it home and bring it back later to have it fixed. Go over it with a fine tooth comb and ensure that everything is as you want it.

The most important things on delivery day:

1. You should not have to go near a DMV for any reason for this car. Make sure they don't give you temp plates or some temp registration that requires you to wait on line at a DMV office later on

2. Make sure you say the following sentence: "My friend said that when he took delivery of his F30 he got a set of BMW all weather rubber floor mats as a thank you". Within 10 minutes you'll have 'em.

3. If you have the BMW Assist option, make sure you get the userid and password so you can start using the BMW Remote app and start sending addresses to your car.

4. If you don't have the BMW Assist option, make sure the BMW "Y" cable for your iPhone/iPod is in the glovebox.

5. If you still have time, arrange for them to install the newest firmware for Auto Stop/Start which "remembers last setting". Otherwise known as the "ASS off" re-code.

6. If you don't want any dealer emblems or decals or license plate frames, make sure to tell them that.

7. Say 'no' to all the tire, wheel, paint, and other warranties they'll offer you.

8. Make sure to ask your dealer to assign a name to your profile in iDrive. Most times, they will show you how to set all your settings like seats, mirrors, etc. (good) but forget to assign a name to that new profile in iDrive (bad) so when you re-start your car with the second keyfob you lose everything he took the time to teach you and set with you.

Was waiting for your reply whole day...

The wheel and tire protection depending on price is worth it. I had a nail in my tire, and got it replaced. Car only had 1000 miles on it too.

I took the tire and wheel protection...
It is looking reasonable at a price of 1149 for 5 years..

On mine they threw that end as part of some lease promo.

Looking at the deal that I got for my car they wouldn't give me anything for free
I paid invoice - $2000 for my car and got Floor Liners (Front and Rear) and wheel locks for free

1. Check thouroughly make sure you get what you paid for
2. Ask for extended warranty whilst you still can
3. Expect the sales guys to treat you like a king
4. Expect the sales guys to treat you like a loser as soon as you drive the car away.... very typical
5. Expect some phone calls for BM head office for a quick survey

Look for repaired body damage. Rare but does occur

OP - did you pick it up? How did everything turn out? You're probably driving right now or sitting in the car playing with all the tech stuff.. well... when you finally get out do tell us!

Delivery was super. I bought the tire and wheel protection aswell for $1149 along with the car.
They threw Floor Liners and Wheel locks for free plus I got 2000$ rebate (Recent Grad and Holiday Cash back)
Overall if we see including everything, I just paid them Invoice-$2000
