E82 / E88 1 Series (2008 - 2013)
BMWs throw back to the iconic 2002, with a renewed form and function. The smallest car in BMW's line up but still packs a punch. Available in coupe or convertible, powered by either an inline 6 in the 128 or the twin turbo rocket sled 135.

Help check engine light

Hi I have an 2009 128i. 53000 miles

I got the check engine turn on and I scanned it. I got

2a32 valvetronic eccentric sensor
2a47 valvetronic eccentric shaft sensor plausibility
2a37 valvetronic eccentric shaft plausibility
2a34 valvetronic eccentric shaft sensor refrence

Does this mean i have to change the eccentric sensor? I would rather do it myself but I don't want to buy it change it and then still have the same problem. BMW dealer will probably be a fortune.

Might want to inspect the connection - sometimes the sensor can begin to leak oil into the connector.

I opened it up and unplugged it. There is no oil in the plug it self.
