How can I go about disabling SSV on my 2008 328xi? It is honestly quite annoying - I have the basic stereo unit and don't find the setting to turn it off anywhere! Is there some service mode I can go into in order to turn this off?

If you have Idrive, I remember seeing a setting where you could select how much the volume goes up... Ought to be able to set that to zero...

Cannot be turned off. Can be set to minimum. That's all.

I find it annoying too. I turned it down to the min and it's barely noticeable at that point. Check your manual, it will tell you how.

Ahh silly me it's been sitting right in front of me this whole time as the S-VOL setting. I had initially thought this was some sort of setting to boost the aux source volume.
