2004 X5 N62 Engine
Quick question, does the 04 x5 N62 engine have a secondary air pump? I see where it is supposed to be connected, (right to the airbox,) but I dont see it there, I have a plastic cap over it (airbox box hose point). I even looked it up on RealOEM and I cant find a secondary air pump.
If we don't have one, that's good for us cause it is a problem area, but it is bad for the environment I guess..... oh well.

The part number would probably be 11727571589. I don't have a pump at all in an E60 N52, but it does have a charcoal filter that says not to remove which aids in emissions. I removed it though, wonder what kind of trouble I'm in.

Looks like the N62 dropped the secondary air pump. As you state...it's not in the part database for the N62...and neither is it listed in the WDS (wiring diagram) when you look under EXHAUST EMISSIONS CONTROL/MONITORING. But if you look up the pump in the parts database and WDS for the X5 4.4i w/M62TU engine...it is listed in both places.
