New member here--I've done a bit of searching and haven't found an answer to this question. I have a '97 Z3 2.8 which was spun out before I got it and I suspect the rear suspension is bent as camber seems to me to be rather excessive. Subframe was replaced but didn't help. I have seen that the Z3 uses E30 rear suspension, which was theoretically about the same from '82 to '94. But I've also seen that the 2.8 for '97 was beefed up a bit compared to the 1.9 four-cylinder. So my question is, would rear trailing arms from an E30 fit the Z3 2.8? Or do I need to get them from a Z3 2.8?

First welcome to the bimmerfest. I'm not sure about the compatibility of the e30 trailing arms.
It's true that the z3 has an e36 front suspension and an e30 rear suspension. I believe the 6cyl has longer halfshafts than the 4cyl engines. That being said I have a complete rear subframe trailing arms and halfshafts, for sale. You can email me for the details. I'm in Roswell, GA edkennedy1@gmail.com Thanks, Ed Last edited by eken; 01-18-2013 at 09:08 AM. |
