I was thinking of getting one done, i see a couple of companies offer them but is there really a difference from say them Evolve Tune and a dinnan tune?

Not sure. But the threads I've read about chipping the 650i basically said that the yield is very low. Meaning you get very little horsepower gain for the money you spend. You may want to do a search.

25-30hp right? but heard its quicker acceleration and smoother delivery? I mean its only 1k or should I just go blow that somewhere else?

Yes, ONLY $1000 to go from 370 or 375 to 395 or so? But I don't race my car and (to me) it is pretty fast stock. So maybe I'm he wrong guy to ask.

For a little more my friend's Mercedes would chip from 500hp to 650 or 670hp. Not sure why any street car needs 670hp, but to each his own. Point is he gets lots of juice for his money.

I'd spend the money elsewhere myself.

You may want to check the 5 series boards for people that chipped the 550i's and thier results.

Go for it....!!!

And dont forget the RPI Scoops and BMC filters

The E-Flash Performance Software works great on my 650i. I notice a increase in performance instantly. My 6series is tuned now. In it gets up a lot quicker off the line. The exhaust on my car sounds amazing when it's tuned. In the software works perfect on my Windows PC. The software is very simple to install. Also, the support staff is very professional with Great Customer Service!!!

The remap works great on my car in terms of a noticeable increase in performance. Also, what makes it worthwhile is the software which is installed on any pc. In less that a minute you can quickly and easily download stock and remap files. Overall, a professional service and dedicated staff available to assist.

$1,000 for the Dinan tune but you need to get the parts too isn't it. I remember it's well over $3,000 to get to stage 3 . I prefer save up another $6k to get an extra 140 horsepower from the V10.

or for 10k you can get the ESS supercharger kit and from my perspective have a killer v8 setup?

The supercharger kit, I dont think it can boost the engine as much as 140hp if you sell the 6 and get the m6 instead. Honestly I used to be interested by the ESS supercharger kit. However, I believe any aftermarket supercharger/turbo charger will challenge the engine durability and reliability. What do you think?

I fully agree about durability and reliability. But look at all the boosted m3's and supercharged m3's around that have been running strong for awhile.

I'm just happy that there is an option out for a supercharged V8. I think I would really pull the trigger if it wasn't 10k. Honestly if it were around 6 -7k I'd be all over it.

A super charger kit would make a big difference, but finding someone to tune it would be crucial! Would the factory rods support the boost from the super charger? As stated many times before, buy a M6. This way you will get your moneys worth!
