There is going to be a PPK for the 328 as well.

So....this is made by BMW, right? A few questions/comments:

1) Is this the same BMW performance exhaust that's been offered on the e90 (there have been several videos/reviews comparing stock vs performance)? If so, wasn't that performance exhaust around $1200 alone? Now, w/the software, it's only $950?

2) Since the N55 is already likely dynoing around 320-330 hp (330-340 torque) at the crank, do you think this system would put it up to around 350 hp?

3) I've been considering the Dinan Stage 2 when it's available for the f30 335i. Is this likely the same deal? Or would the Dinan likely perform better? (I know there are other "piggyback" options like Burger and Cobb....but I'm not interested in those).

^Nevermind about my exhaust question....I saw above that it doesn't include the actual exhaust (I originally thought it did).

This will add power to whatever the car currently has, if you make 275whp, then this will likely give you 290-295whp.

It is like the Dinan tune, but 100% BMW, think of it like drugs, BMW is prescription, Dinan is he generic, and the piggybacks are like crack.

Yes. It's a BMW part, it can also be port installed on new car orders.

Haha....love the drug analogy. One problem....generic is supposed to be cheaper, and the Dinan Stage 2 (at least on the e90) is $2000! Makes me wonder if I'm missing out on performance by going with the BMW parts over the Dinan...

Sorry if this is dumb question but what will this do for our warranty?
One of the major reason I don't want to do 'generic' or aftermarket is that.
Since this is from BMW that warranty is not changed at all??

The Dinan tune is very mild, timid often compared to the aftermarket piggybacks. The PPk is likely a bit more timid still, but offers more bang for buck.

If it was me, I would either do the PPk or a piggyback, don't see a point in paying that much extra for Dinan.

Yep, but instead of losing 8 out of 32 teeth on meth/crack and you can't sue, you will lose 6 out of 24 valves through exhaust pipe. And you can't sue.

Same thing.

It's going to be offered. In the same BMW announcement of the PPK months ago, they said one was also coming for the N20.

What happened to the link in the original post? Hope the new PPK for $950 wasn't a fluke...

Just to be clear, on paper at least dinan offers ~77hp more and 100+ more torque. BMW offers alot less. Again, on paper.

I've been incredibly dissapointed with the lack of actual quarter mile times and traps. That would really give an indication of how much these cars are (or are not) gaining.

Stupid question....but is this actually made by BMW? I figured it was BMW's answer to a mild Dinan tune....but my CA had never heard of any such thing.

Give your (clueless) CA the part number: 11-12-2-334-336. That is for 335s manufactured after November 2012.

Edit: My CA knew about it. Then again, my CA drives a modded M3.
