BMW E90 320I Maf sensor wiring!

Hi, bought a salvage BMW E90 320I 2005, which has had fire damage (fan caught light) not sure if thats a general fault with this model? but i have 5 wires i think leading to the maf sensor which have been burnt and have left 5 bare wires, i have a connector and part of the loom from a 1 series, the connector fits my maf sensor on my 3 series but the 5 wires are different colours, the connector is marked 1 - 5 does anyone know what colour wires go to what number on the connector block i think the colours are 2 red, 2 yellow, 1 black not sure how i am going to know what yellow goes where but if you guys can maybe check your maf on your car and just let me know the wiring order that will be great!

also cant be leave how much you have to reset when you disconnect wiring under the bonnet!

Thanks Tommy

The Bentley manual will have all of that information in detail. You should buy one. I have the one for the 335i and the 320 isn't in my volume or I would dig it up for you. Good luck.

Go here:
http://www.bmw-planet.com/diagrams/r.../e90/index.htm

From the menu on the left select "complete vehicle > Drive > Motor Electronics (the one that is appropriate for your engine) > Air Supply"
Click the "air supply" icon and the wiring diagram for the MAF will show-up on the screen. The pin-out and wire colors are shown next to each respective wire.
Click the help icon in the lower right corner to decipher the color codes for the wires. For instance "GE" means yellow. Since there are two yellow wires to the MAF you'll need to pull the connector off the DME and test the continuity back to the bare ends by the MAF to determine which yellow wire goes to which pin on the DME.

Good luck!
