Is there a need to keep German ED documents?

Outside of souvenir reasons, are there any [legal] reasons to keep the German Car ED documents after the car has been delivered to you in the US?

No, but keep your original bill of sale. About a year after my car was redelivered I got an import tax bill from my state dept. or revenue. I had to produce the bill of sale to prove I didn't owe tax.

Keep documents

I agree, I got a bill nearly a year after my delivery from the south Carolina dept
of revenue demanding import taxes. Had to send notarized bill of sale from local dealer and origional bill of sale.
