Comfort Access - Mirrors don't always align
Does anyone else have the problem with their Comfort Access, where the mirrors and seats don't finish moving to the memorized position when switching drivers?
Our 2011 535i is my wife's car. I've reprogrammed the memory settings so that #1 is for her, and #2 is for me, and our respective key fobs are set to recognize us. Generally, the system works fine, in that it clearly recognizes when I'm getting in the car, and when my wife is getting in - It changes the driver profile (radio, etc.), moves the seats and mirrors, and adjusts the steering wheel. The problem is (and which is really pissing off my wife) is that the mirrors and steering wheel never seem to FINISH moving. She complains that after every time I drive the car, she gets in and always has to push the memory #1 button to get the mirrors and what-not to finish moving into position. What's up with that? Anyone else having this chronic problem? I've brought this up at the dealership in the past, and they always say "can't replicate the problem," which is partial BS. Yes, the seats and mirrors move depending on the key fob opening the car, but they aren't moving into the memorized position.

Not sure about the F10, but my first BMW, an '05 330i, had an "issue" with the memory seats, not related to CA. At that time, in addition to each saved memory (1 and 2), the "key" last used had its own memory as well. So say a valet moved your seat and locked the car with your key. IIRC, it would then be necessary to manually push the #1 memory to get back to my "real" setting. Maybe not related to your problem, but I would test it and be sure the seat is not being moved prior to locking the car. It seems weird the seats would move part way and stop. Try additional testing to see if you can replicate it, otherwise, the dealer probably won't have a clue. My wife never drove my 2nd 3-series or our new F10, so really, the seat never moves away from #1 memory so I wouldn't notice a problem.
